Founded by Barnard alumnae Alicia Serrani '13 and Isabella Serrani '16, T.W.I.N. (That’s What I Need) is built on the philosophy of creating timeless, and versatile staples that effortlessly transition through every part of your day. Grounded in a deep commitment to sustainability and ethical design, all T.W.I.N. garments are crafted from upcycled deadstock fabric. Championing true inclusivity across gender, size, and ability, T.W.I.N. creates thoughtful, adaptive pieces that feel as good as they look on every body.

About the Collaboration
This exclusive collaboration was created to set the Barnard Store apart from traditional collegiate retail by spotlighting the incredible talent within our alumni community. Designed directly in collaboration with the Barnard alumnae, the capsule reflects what they wished they had in their closets during their college years: a fresh, elevated athletic language for Barnard that is sustainable, comfortable, and cute.

Inspired by classic Italian cotton pointelle, the pieces are designed to be worn everywhere—from early morning classes across campus to weekend strolls around town. Together, we’ve reimagined iconic Barnard imagery in a sporty new way, seamlessly blending the college’s heritage with T.W.I.N.’s signature aesthetic.

Oversized Pointelle Jersey & Racing Stripe Tank: Crafted in soft pointelle knit, these statement tops feature the signature Barnard New York logo alongside custom Barnard x TWIN iconography and refined B-laurel details.

Pointelle Bloomer Short: Designed for versatile styling, this piece features a multi-rise waistline, cheeky micro length, and sporty racer stripes accented with charming shirred detailing and ruffled trim.
